Deep-Fried Bliss.

Fried catfish, homemade mashed potatoes, white beans, and hush puppies.

Jason and I are getting married in less than two weeks, so of course we're on a pre-nuptials diet.

Gayle, you shouldn't have gotten us this deep fryer. Because we use it.

Hi there!

Have been reading your blog for a while but am a first time poster. Just wondered if you were still having problems with Addy's feeds? My story has been almost 'exactly' the same as yours, right down to the fussiness, seeming pain while eating and only taking a little at a time. My doctor put my 4 month old girl on Zantac too and it seemed to work for a couple of days.

Then yesterday I had a thought, what if she wasn't getting
the food fast enough and was getting frustrated? She was
on slow feed nipples because of gas but I bought some
medium nipples today and she's taken down 2 lots of 6ozs
with not one scream, turning her head away or arching! I am
seriously hoping it's not coincidence but thought I would
share it with you straight away as it might work for you too.
Sorry if you already use medium nipples, which means a swap
won't work for you and just ignore this waffle! I was just so
delighted with the last two feeds and have felt/shared your
pain over this so wanted to post right away!

Best wishes & good luck with finding your own solution!

Rachel.

That's awesome, Rachel. So glad you found something that works! We switched Addy to a level 2 nipple on the Dr. Brown's about three weeks ago and it also made a big difference, especially in how long it took to feed her! Her fussiness did start to subside a little after that, but I never made a connection. Good thinking, though!

But as you can see it is two in the morning and I am on my computer. So not such a good baby-night. :\

What are Hush Puppies? Looks delicious, anyway.

Hush puppies are, basically, fried dough.

Deep dryer or deep fryer??

That food looks amazing. You domestic goddess you...

Wow! Funny how you can re-read a post and a mistake like that just flies by you.

Although I'm curious as to what a deep dryer could entail.

Well you know me and spelling!

I feel like a deep dryer could make beef jerky maybe?
