Yesterday.

My procedure went really well yesterday. They did the stricture dilation in the operating room with a surgeon, because my doctor didn't feel confident doing it anymore. So, needless to say, I was sort of terrified, especially since this was the same surgeon who's told me over and over again that I need an ostomy, that the stricture dilation just gets riskier each time.

The first thing I did when I came out of anesthesia was grip my stomach. And saying I was relieved to find it in the same, post-pregnancy flabby state it was in when I fell asleep is an understatement.

I have a fever today, as I usually do after these procedures, and have been put on Loritabs for pain. But I'm taking them as sparingly as possible. They make parenting a little tricky.

It's been a rough past few days. Here's hoping tomorrow is better.
